Make sure to use regular detergent, or unscented if you are sensitive to smell, and use the warmest temperature setting your clothes and cloth can handle. You can use a mesh laundry bag to keep the masks from getting tangled with your other clothes.
If you want to wash your cloth mask or face covering by hand, use a bucket of hot water with detergent. In place of detergent, you can also use four teaspoons of bleach per quart of water. Allow it to soak for up to five minutes. Scrub the mask for at least 20 seconds, then rinse completely.
How should I dry?
Face masks should be dried on the highest heat setting and should be left in the dryer until they are completely dry. If you would prefer to air dry, lay them flat and allow to completely dry before your next use. When doing this, It is best to place the mask in direct sunlight.
